In 2019, VONA celebrates its twentieth year by hosting writing workshops across the country. VONA faculty, as a birthday gift to our community, are organizing, teaching and engaging with writers in their own cities and towns. VONA is coming to a city near you! Happy Twentieth Anniversary, VONA!
The VATC Workshops are one and two-day workshops that are generative and inspiring.
Check all the different choices there are for 2019 below. Make sure to pay attention to class duration, fees, and timing before signing up. There’s something for everyone. You will be writing at the workshop and sharing your work. Some advanced reading may be required.

In choosing our faculty we select only internationally celebrated authors of color who are known for their excellence as writers and their sensibilities toward political and cultural issues. All of our workshop leaders are inspiring and proven teachers experienced with diverse populations.
And, good news! You may sign up for more than one workshop.
